Test Analyst


Key Accountabilities

The candidate will typically perform POS related system, integration and end-to-end tests. Testing skills include writing test cases, executing including defect recording, management and resolution during the testing cycle (s).

We are looking for innovative people that can thoroughly examine solutions and uncover issues that may occur on deployment prior to implementation. This includes destructive testing, familiarity with simulators such as FinSim for volume testing and simulation purposes and familiarity with scheme rules. 

Typical responsibilities include:

  • Test execution, progress tracking and reporting
  • Analyse, record and report defects accurately with complete trace information
  • Assisting in defect resolution, where appropriate
  • Delivery of the tasks assigned by the Test Manager and the Project Manager

Tool Expertise

Familiarity with common testing tools will be highly regarded, including:

  • WireShark
  • FinSim
  • HP Quality Centre
  • Integrated POS/terminal software
  • General trace/logging software
  • Microsoft Office

Skills & Competencies

Key skills & competencies required include:

  • Analytical skills to interpret business requirements and translate these into comprehensive test cases
  • Documentation and complete and accurate of test results and collation of artefacts
  • Root cause analysis of defects
  • Ability to challenge coverage
  • Innovative approaches to testing
  • Abilitiy to contribute to team effort and response to team lead directions
  • Excellent communication skills
